33. The Committee recommends that the State party: (...) c) Ensure that rural women have equal access to basic services and infrastructure, such as health care, education, public transportation, food, water and sanitation, income-generating opportunities and social protection on an equal basis with men and also with their urban counterparts, including through the adoption of temporary special measures, in accordance with article 4 (1) of the Convention and the Committee’s general recommendation No. 25.
